What does an integrated physical assessment of capacity and an Employability Assessment include?

The definition of an Employability Assessment recognises that vocational capacity must be matched to a person’s functional capacity.

This integrated assessment service includes an assessment of the physical capacity for work by an Occupational Physician that is then available to be considered by the consultant preparing the Employability Assessment report.

Depending on your requirements, the issues addressed by the ECA Employability assement report will include:

What is required?

If you require that the Employability assessment be conducted by way of face to face interview or telephone/video, both the employability assessment and the assessment of physical capacity by the Occupational Physician can be completed on the same date and in the same location.

If you require the Employability assessment to be conducted as a desktop assessment only an assessment of physical capacity by the Occupational Physician will need to be arranged.

If possible you should provide us with the medical/treatment file for the subject of the assessment in advance of the date for the assessments that are required.
