What does an integrated physical and psychological assessment of capacity and an Employability Assessment include?

The definition of an Employability Assessment recognises that vocational capacity must be matched to a person’s functional capacity.

This integrated assessment service includes an assessment of the physical capacity by an Occupational Physician and of psychological capacity by a Registered Psychologist that is then available to be considered by the consultant preparing the Employability Assessment report.

Depending on your requirements, the issues addressed by the ECA Employability assessment report will include:

  • Review of the assessment of the physical capacity report prepared by the Occupational Physician
  • Review of the assessment of the psychological capacity report prepared by the Registered Psychologist
  • Review of other documentary material relevant to the physical and psychological capacity of the subject of the assessment.

What is required?

If you require that the Employability assessment be conducted by way of face to face interview or telephone/video, both the employability assessment and the assessments of physical and psychological capacity can be completed on the same date and in the same location.

If you require the Employability assessment to be conducted as a desktop assessment, only assessments of physical and psychological capacity will need to be arranged.

If possible you should provide us with the medical/treatment file for the subject of the assessment in advance of the date for the assessments that are required.
