What is an Employability Assessment?
ECA have adopted the definition of Employability Assessment developed by the Aluca “TPD Working group”
”“A Life Insurance Employability Assessment is an assessment of a person’s vocational capacity based on their education, training and experience and within their medical functional capabilities”
Our consultants
All of our Employability Assessment consultants meet the recommendations of the Aluca TPD Working group
What does an employability assessment include?
The definition of an Employability Assessment recognises that vocational capacity must be matched to a person’s functional capacity.
Medical functional capacity is usually derived from evidence provided by medical professionals, and includes both physical and psychological/cognitive functioning.
If you require medical functional capacity to be assessed we recommend our physical and psychologicalfunctional assessments designed to suit the requirements of the TPD claims process.
Depending on your requirements, the issues addressed by an ECA vocational assessment report will include:
Review of documentary material relevant to the physical capacity for work of the subject of the assessment.
Each ECA Employability Assessment report contains a careful and detailed analysis of the match between the subject and the vocational option identified as suitable and includes all of the information areas identified by the TPD Working Group:
Methods of assessment
An ECA Employability Assessment can be completed to suit your requirements using one of the following methods
We can also co-ordinate for a physical and/or psychological assessment of capacity for work to be conducted at the same time so that the Employability Assessment can have regard to the most current assessments of capacity.
In most cases all of the assessments can be scheduled to take place on the same day at the same location.
