Bruce Smith, BComm LLB LLM
Chief Executive Officer

Bruce commenced practice as a solicitor in 1994 after two years as a Supreme Court Justice’s associate. He was called to the New South Wales Bar in 1998.

He has practised extensively in personal injury including in Work Injury Damages, CTP and Civil Liability cases, and has argued earning capacity in the Supreme and District Courts and in tribunals including CARS.

A major work for his LLM (Sydney 1996) was on practical issues around obtaining and using expert evidence.

Bruce was a founder of the business in 2003 and was a non-executive director for many years. He has been CEO of Earning Capacity Assessments and Expert Experts since 2011.

Paul Heath, BEc LLB
Chief Technical Officer

Paul commenced practice as a solicitor in 1994.

He practised with a major national firm across a range of personal injury lines including CTP, Workers Compensation and Civil Liability, as well as in Professional Indemnity.

He moved to a national commercial litigation firm where he undertook major D&O litigation on behalf of Insurers. He was a committee member of APIG for a number of years.

Paul is the Chief Technical Officer of Earning Capacity Assessments and Expert Experts.

Praveen is a Chartered Management Accountant with senior financial experience gained within both Australia and Africa in a wide array of industries.

Anne Smith, B. Ed Grad Dip Social Ecology
Chief Audit Officer

Anne was a school and TAFE teacher and ran her own education business before joining Expert Experts and ECA over 10 years ago. She is responsible for internal auditing across all areas of the business operations.

Our senior technical account management team has a combined 10+ years of experience working with ECA. Between them they have degree and post graduate qualifications in law, health science and health service management, as well as experience in personal injury claims management.

They are dedicated to managing all technical aspects of ECA's relationships with our clients. Their aim is to provide quality technical service throughout the referral and assessment process to ensure our customers' satisfaction and maintain long term relationships.
